Having heard Kate Bush at the age of ten with Wuthering Heights but unable to do anything about it ( my parents wanted me to be into Abba ), it wasn't
until the run up of Hounds of Love that I was able to fully apprieciate her music. I remember all the excitement regarding H O L and couldn't wait to get
the album. Side one holds so many wonderful memories for me, it is very special and still holds some kind of magic to this day. The Ninth Wave took some time
to discover, it wasn't an instant hit with me and I remember hardly playing it, this didn't last too long because once I'd listened to it a few
times I was drowned and boy, did it blow my mind. I can recall driving over one of the Lake District passes at night with a thunder and lightening storm
overhead with The Ninth Wave on the car stereo, wish I could go back to that moment.
Kate's back catalogue was soon bought and maybe not fully appreciated straight away but I was hooked on the wonderful sounds of the Kate world. A little
magazine was seen by the name of Homeground and I joined straight away. I've been on many a hike in Haworth and even started 'The Northern Lights'
in the late 80's/early 90's in the Leeds area, met some wonderful people and friends who I have a lot of love for.
Started my own business and went for it big time but it took so much of my time that a lot of things fell by the way.
So now in 2008 I venture into the Internet to re-acquaint myself with the Kate speaking world. Good to be here but please be kind to my mistakes.....
